Bob Reid brings to your business unit 37 years of outstanding success in the radio, television and media industries.  Bob entered the media industry in 1969 for radio 2GB in Sydney Australia with professional focus on becoming a broadcaster. Through the years he ventured into radio and television media sales and was quickly appointed to various senior management positions, including General Management. 

He was also one of the very first appointees in the United States to the position of Director of Sales for a major radio group, heading up a seven station cluster in the mid 1990s and generating benchmark revenue for each of those stations in quick turnaround time.

Bob brings to the table extensive major market leadership skills and experience at senior management level in both the United States (his home since 1992) and Australia.  He’s engineered several media business turnarounds in both growth and recessionary conditions with a strong track record of exceptional top and bottom-line performance. 

As a salesperson Bob has consistently been the #1 salesperson for every station with which he’s been associated.  He’s most proud of achieving that status with the smallest client list (more dollars per client) along with the highest unit rates on those stations.  Under his direction in both Management and as a Consultant, stations have achieved record sales volume in quick turnaround time.

Bob is Radio Ink's feature columnist on radio sales and management.  "Reid On Sales" is featured in each issue of Radio Ink, the world's leading industry publication specializing in Radio Management, Sales and Marketing.

Bob Raleigh is a radio industry veteran with 35 years of outstanding achievement as a broadcast talent, in radio programming, research and as a Radio Programming Consultant.  His programming career boasts stellar appointments to which many radio programmers would aspire and give their right arm to boast the same career appointments on their resume … including programming legendary country music giant and radio industry icon WSM Nashville and KHAY-FM Los Angeles.

Bob spent 7 years as the Director of Country Programming for one of the “Top 3 Majors” in the United States – Cumulus Media, overseeing 45 radio stations coast to coast.  During Bob's tenure at Cumulus, the Country platform was consistently the best performing format within the company, ratings period after ratings period.

It was also a dream achievement for Bob serving on the Board of Directors for the CMA.

Bob's most recent consulting project was the nationally syndicated “Lia Show” with over 180 affiliates nationwide and the syndicated “GAC Bill Cody Classic Country Weekend” with over 300 affiliates for the Jones Radio Networks.  “The Lia Show” captured the coveted 2005 CMA Award for National Broadcast Personality Of The Year.  Bob also is instrumental in developing a new format for Jones Radio Networks called “Toby”…a Country version of Jack-FM as well as overseeing their Classic Hits format.

Rob McKay is a radio pioneer with 30+ years in commercial radio. He’s constructed seven radio stations, managed individual stations plus two large corporate groups.  Rob has served as a Director on several boards (public & private) and consulted many major market radio stations.  He led 2CC in Australia's National Capital to a 50% share in their first book, launched Brisbane’s 4MMM FM, led Radio Windy New Zealand from a $1.25 share price to a $4.75 price inside 12 months.  His wide experience in “Change Management” has re-built many poorly performing media companies in lightning turnaround time.  Now, as Principal Consultant at his own human resource company AssessSystems, his focus is on the people in organizations. 

Rob's wide managerial and team building skills combined with extensive research and marketing experience has been an invaluable asset to many radio stations and media organizations.  In addition, Rob has developed advanced skills in Business Planning and Strategic Management. His University degree in Business Psychology and  post-graduate degree in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology have widened and strengthened his knowledge in all aspects of organizational management.
